First recorded in Acklam, North Yorkshire in 1768. Resistant to scab and generally hardy. Succeeds best in dry soil. This uncommon heritage variety is a yellow/green medium sized fruit with an excellent, rich, sharp tangy but sweet russet flavour. Highly regarded as a table apple. Pollination group 3.
