A cross between Barnack Beauty and Cox in 1904 by W H Divers at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire. Delivering the excellent characteristics of Cox being flavoursome and aromatic while ripening earlier. Medium sized with flesh creamy white with orange stains under the skin. Said to be good on chalky soils. Pollination group 3.
