Ananas Reinette - an ancient and hardy juicing apple.

Aka Royal Pineapple. First recorded in the Netherlands in 1821 (some say France in the 1500s). Partially russetted, it is famed for its sweet,perfumed, mild pineapple signature flavour particularly after a period of storage. Tolerant of low temperature this is useful as a dessert, but more more often as a cooker or juicing apple. Pollination group 4.
