Yorkshire Apples
A hardy Victorian (exhibited Cirencester 1863) sweet eating apple from Somerset with good disease resistance - particularly to scab. The heavy cropping, medium sized fruits are one of the earliest cropping ready by early August although if picked too early it can be rather acid. The juicy fruits are tangy and sweet if captured in its short season. Best eaten immediately after picking. RHS First Class certificate in 1887. Pollination group 3.
