Aka Bec d' Oie,  this famous and worthwhile, sweet Normandy single varietal cider apple also can be successfully blended and dates from the Middle Ages at 1693. Classified as a medium bittersweet the fruit should be left on the tree as long as possible but taken before the frosts. An interesting dark amber must becomes paler during fermentation.  Pollination group 6.
