Aka Belle Fleur Simple. This was recognised by Hogg in 1883 as an "excellent culinary apple of the finest quality". With 1700s origins in either Belgium or the Netherlands this exceptional cooking apple has great keeping qualities (up to March) with sweetness steadily improving over the first 4 weeks. Hardy to -20c. and generally disease resistant. Received an Award of Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1901. Pollination group 5.
