Benoni - a flavoursome dessert from the USA.
Yorkshire Apples
A chance seedling found in Massachusetts in 1810. Introduced to the UK by Rivers of Stowbridge this fruit is a quality early season dessert apple with fine textured, yellowish flesh that is juicy and well balanced with a tangy aromatic flavor that is regularly compared to Cox's Orange Pippin. Ready for harvest in early September, it is one of the first apples to ripen. It can be susceptable to scab and will produce biennially if not managed.
