A deep red, mildly sweet, medium sized apple with smooth, pink stained flesh. Originating in Megginch Estate between Perth and Dundee and said to be a chance seedling found near the grave of a ploughman who had stolen a bag of apples from Megginch Estate. First recorded in 1883. Flowering group 4.
