Breakwell's Seedling - an early ripening bittersharp from Wales
Yorkshire Apples
A scab resistant bittesharp variety found as a wild seedling in 1890 in Monmouth, Wales. This is a valuable early ripening fruit that is best incorporated as part of a blend because on its own it only produces a thin, light average cider. It need to be pressed quickly in order to retain its best qualities. Pollination group 4.
