Buttery Dor - a mild sharp cider apple that is also used in cooking.
Yorkshire Apples
Said to have been brought from Normandy by monks in the1500s and recorded in 1934 this multipurpose variety was rescued from a derelict orchard in Dorset in the late 1950s. Now re-propagated this mild sharp will produce a reasonable cider with aromatic flavour although in Lond Ashton trials its fermation was said to be too fast. Pollination group 2.
