Yorkshire Apples
A useful dual purpose (eating/cooking/cider) apple developed in 1890 from Cox and Peasgood Nonsuch. This, sometimes enormous, sweet and juicy variety is hardy and resistant to frosts, has some resistance to scab and suitable for the cooler north. This is variety tolerates coastal soils and is one of the few varieties that enjoys lime rich soils. Pollination Group 3.
