Aka Ox Heart - This is an ancient large dark mahogany red cooking apple that has the appearance of an ox heart that is thought to date from at least 1200. The sweet, fruity and aromatic flesh can have a reddish tinge amidst a creamy colour - this purees to a very sweet lemon yellow. Pollination group 4.
