White Melrose - a well-balanced, heritage cooking apple.
Yorkshire Apples
A heritage cooking apple thought to have been grown in the 1600s by the monks of Melrose Abbey. This is a good cropping, hardy and disease resistant variety that gives well-balanced sweet/sharp flesh. It retains some shape when cooked and becomes sweeter with storage - because of this some describe it as dual-purpose. A good, hardy variety for northern Britain. Pollination group 3.
Cooker/Dessert - Spur Bearer - self sterile - Ready mid September
Minimum order of 5 scions - these can be of different varieties.
