Yorkshire Apples

A highly regarded French russet dessert apple that is still grown commerically. It probably originated in Normandy where is was recorded in 1771. It was taken by settlers to Canada. Its sweet spicy flesh has some tartness that lessens with storage. It is resistant to scab. Pollination group 4.
