An unusual modern, hardy USA variety (resistant to scab and fire blight) developed by Minnesota University (1977). They are very sweet (sweeter than MacIntosh) with a complex and interesting flavour with notes of vanilla, sugar cane and bourbon that are best eaten straight from the tree. Pollination group 3.
