It is said the name Gilliflower comes from the middle English for "clove - gilofre". With some resistance to scab and canker it needs to be managed carefully and will grows best in a mild climate producing smallish crops of highly fragrant sweet-sharp fruit. This variety is certainly worth the effort. Pollination group 4.
