Aka Wise Apple. This heritage variety, from France, dates at least to the early 1600s and some say it is much older than that. It flowers very late and as such is very useful in regions prone to late frosts. It is a good cropper, producing rich aromatic, fairly dense and juicy fruit. Resistant to canker, scab and mildew. Pollination Group 6.
