Crowngold - a redder mutation of Jonagold. From USA (thin)

Rare in the UK. Crowngold apples are interesting and highly recommended as a larger and more redder form of the iconic Jonathan. This variety was raised in the New York State agricultural research station in 1979. The aromatic fruits have a well balanced flavour that is sweet and honeyed with a mild tart acidity. Pollination group 3.
