Discovery - an early variety with hints of sweet strawberry.
Yorkshire Apples
Introduced in 1949 this is potentially an early cropping variety although the fruits are better picked in September. The original mother tree still exists - its probable parent is thoughtto be Worcester Pearmain. This fruit has a distinct red/pink colloration often with a pink tinge to the white flesh. There is a sweet, tanginess to the flavour that often has hints of strawberries. Pollination Group 3.
