Douce Moen - a famous Bittersweet cider apple from Brittany.

Yorkshire Apples

A famous bittersweet cider apple from south Finistere that is used in the production of Calvados. This is essentially a spur bearing tree although it is also in part tip bearing. It is an early ripening variety flavoured with hints of honey that is best used as part of a blend where it contributes finesse and roundness for a balanced cider. Resistant to both scab and canker. Pollination group 5.
