A medium sized, heavy cropping, red flecked, sweet, aromatic eating apple developed from Cox and Idared (1972). Early flowering yet grows well in the north and can cope with poor soils. Easy to grow as cordons and is one of the best varieties for juicing. Fruiting from September. Pollination group 4.
