Gilly - a modern mild bittersweet from Long Ashton

Yorkshire Apples

A new bittersweet by Liz Copas an Ray Williams from the Long Ashton breeding programme released in 2008. This has since proved to be an excellent variety for high density planting. Fruits have a "Worcester" aroma with sweet, well-flavoured juicy flesh that produces sweet, acidic juice that is richly endowed with tannins.  Early harvest.  Pollination group 1.
