Aka Gatcombe (pre 1893) found around the Glastonbury Area is an early sharp with mild astringency and melting texture. It has good flavour with a sweet, fruity aroma and it can equally be useful as a single variety or within a blend via a relatively slow fermentation. Pollination Group 3.
