Discovered in Porters Creek, West Virginia in the 1890s and called Mullins Yellow Seedling. This superb variety is internationally important and has quality well beyond its poor EU reputation. This fruit is crisp and juicy with a flavour that has been described as honeyed or raw cane sugar with floral notes. This heavy cropping tree has some resistance to frost. Pollination Group 4.
