Discovered in northern Germany (1918) in Holstein. This medium sized, late keeping apple (with Cox possibly as a parent) has an intensely rich aromatic flavour with hints of pineapple. The flesh can be coarse with a good balance of sweet and tart. This variety is renowned for its juicing qualities. Pollination Group 3.
