Katy (Katja) - a superb variety worthy of much interest.

A fantastic variety raised in Sweden in 1947. This versatile, small to medium sized, red variety crops regularly and heavily. It is useful for northern areas as it is very resistant to canker. The flavour is mild and sweet tasting with very juicy flesh that totally lends itself towards juicing although Thatchers make a lovely easy drinking single variety cider from it. Pollination Group 3.
