King of Tomkins County - an important heritage variety from USA.
Yorkshire Apples
This is the premier USA hertitage apple discovered in New Jersey in 1750 and fondly known simply as "King". Introduced by Rivers the fruits are large with yellow/red colouring. The flesh tends to be aromatic, welcomely sub-acid and meltingly sweet. Interestingly, the flavour tends to remind folk what an apple should taste like. Pollination group 3.
