One of the best early varieties, this fruit was bred in 1909 and measures up well with medium sized fruits offering good, sweet, refreshing flavour that is described as a "light" Cox. Favourable characteristics such as being partially self fertile and resistant to frosts offer a real bonus for planting in the north. Pollination Group 3.
