McIntosh - a famous and well flavoured juicy apple.
Yorkshire Apples
A famous North American variety (Canada 1796) named after the farmer John McIntosh. With crisp flesh this is an exceptionally juicy apple with sweet, aromatic, clean white flesh. The red pigments occasionally bleed into the flesh. Can be prone to scab although this can concentrate the flavour for cider production. Pollination group 2.
