Yorkshire Apples

A very old Italian variety that may be the second oldest recorded apple. A rarity in the UK, Mela Carla or apple of Charlemagne (8th century) is an interesting medium sized, a late white fleshed fruit that offers sweetness a flavour in good summers. Pollination Group 2.
