A bittersweet cider apple from Brittany (1850s) that is widely grown in Normandy that can provide 20% of a blend or can be used as a single variety as a prelude to its use in Calvados. It grows best in a drier climate with heavy crops of aromatic fruit. A good inclusion within a collection. Pollination Group 3.
