A full bodied cider Bittersweet variety from Normandy introduced by Bulmers in 1920s that can be blended successfully or can be equally excellent as a full bodied, single variety. The juice is moderately sweet, astingent with slight tartness. It performs better in drier climates where harvests can be annually abundant. Fruit must be milled quickly. Pollination group 3.
