Orleans Reinette - excellent old fashioned flavour from France.

A multi-purpose French apple first described by Knoop in 1776. This is a delicious flavoured variety with an old-fashioned orange tang and a nutty taste. Grows best in a sunny location and while cropping can be variable the quality of the fruits speak for themselves. Resistant to scab, canker and mildew. Described by H.V. Taylor as probably the sweetest variety we have (in the UK in 1948). Pollination Group 5.
