Porter's Perfection - a full bodied vintage bittersharp.
Yorkshire Apples
Found as a chance seedling by Charles Porter in the late 1800s in his nursery in East Lambrook in Somerset. A vigorous variety that produces heavy crops of small dark red fruits. The flesh is mild, sharp and astringent that offers rather bittersharp juice with moderate levels of tannin. This is a full-bodied vintage quality bittersharp. Pollination group 3.
