Scarlet Surprise - a red fleshed variety.

Aka Bill's Red Flesh or Firecracker. A vigorous variety with bright pink flowers and small dark red fleshed fruit. More crab apple than dessert apple the fruit is tart and lemony although other interesting flavour combinations are there.  Levels of sweetness appear two weeks after being harvested and at that point thejuice of this this variety would add interest to a cider blend.
