Originated in Ontario, Canada around 1860 and is thought to be a Fameuse seedling. A superb variety with crisp, well-flavoured melting white flesh well suited to the table or juicing. A cold hardy variety that closes down early - it is grown occasionally in Alaska. Pollination group 3.
