Somerset Red Streak - an excellent commercial medium bittersweet

Probably originated in the Sutton Montis area of Somerset.  A bastion of UK commercial cider orchards this medium bittersweet variety will offer sweet, astringent juice so making a good single varietal cider although generally it is best used with sharper varieties as part of a blend. Resistant to scab, it needs to be thinned to prevent biennial cropping. A worthwhile variety. Pollination group 4.
