AKA St Edmund's Pippin being resistant to canker, mildew and scab is highly suitable for the north. This richly flavoured and very juicy fruit has a distinct tangy sweetness that some say is superior to the more widely grown Egremont Russet. This variety is the earliest of the russets. Pollination Group 3.
