Sturmer Pippin - an exceptionally well-flavoured apple.
Yorkshire Apples
First recorded in Sturmer, Suffolk in 1831 this is said to be a cross between Nonpareil and Ribston Pippin. It prefers light soil and a warm situation. This fruit has exceptional flavour with a high vitamin C content, that benefits from being left on the tree beyond November. It keeps really well and is better eaten much later, in January orFebruary. Pollination Group 3.
