Raised by Tydeman at the East Malling Research Station this is a cross between Cox and Court Pendu Plat (Kent 1956) that breaks dormancy late so missing early season frosts. The fruits have a juicy, aromatic quality that retains an excellent balance between sweetness and sharpness. Resistant to scab and mildew. Award of Merit 1980. Pollination Group 6.
