Wealthy - an extremely cold hardy fabulous fruit

Raised in Minnesota (freezing winters) with later DNA testing showing it as a cross between Jonathan and Dutchess of Oldenburg. First released in 1868 this extremely cold hardy variety is a must for northern UK. The soft, fragrant coarse-grained flesh is white to cream-coloured. This produces sweet-tart, strawberry flavoured abundant juice. Award of Merit RHS 1869. Pollination group 4.
