A very small red fleshed crab apple that originates from the NW of Iran that is said to produce more antioxidants than other apples and is believed to have values in curing some diseases including some cancers. The fruit is largely very bitter-tart becoming marginally sweeter with maturity (still only scoring 1.5/5 according to Deacon). It could have an interesting value as a sharp within a cider blend. Pollination group 3.
Minimum order of 5 scions - these can be of different varieties.
