A single variety, mild bittersweet cider apple from Somerset that was discovered by Mr Barlett and developed by Harry Masters. With a tendancy to be biennial the resulting crops can be impressive and fall when they are ripe. The sweet flesh (with some astringency) is often reddened white beneath the skin. Pollination group 4.
