A single variety, mild bittersweet cider apple from Somerset that was discovered by Mr Barlett and developed by Harry Masters. With a tendancy to be biennial the resulting crops can be impressive and fall when they are ripe. The sweet flesh (with some astringency) is often reddened white beneath the skin.
